Creation of automated system of ecological monitoring on Spitsbergen archipelago (Norway)

The object of this project is to implement automated complexes of data collection on atmospheric air pollution on the island of Spitsbergen in the “Arcticugol” influence zone. Created automated complexes provide data collection, information processing and transmission.

Gas analyzers collect data on air pollution (air is polluted with NO, NO2, SO2). Industrial personal computer enables to do primary data processing. Processed information is transmitted to the local storage server.

Final results are presented to users in Zonal Hydro Meteorological Observatory Barentsburg (Spitsbergen) and in the Murmansk Administration for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.

The data can be accessed through the web-technologies.
